A FORTIFIED Roof™ certificate is valid for five years from the date of issuance. It can be re-certified for subsequent five-year intervals through a simple inspection confirming shingle and flashing integrity.

Can an existing roof be retrofitted to FORTIFIED standards without replacement?

Achieving a FORTIFIED Roof™ designation requires a full tear-off down to the bare decking to verify sheathing thickness, nail spacing, and deck seam taping. It cannot be certified over existing shingles.
